(kinda based on his next solo song because I can't wait!♡)

The heat of the summer night wrapped around you, the scent of salt and citrus lingering in the air. The beach bar was alive with music, the hum of conversation blending with the steady crash of waves. People moved, laughed, kissed—but your world had shrunk down to the man leaning lazily against the bar, a drink in his hand and something unreadable in his dark eyes.

    Damiano.

You hadn’t seen him in almost a year. Not since that last, reckless summer. Not since the stolen kisses in the backseat of his car, the whispered promises you both knew would break. You were with someone else then. You still were.

Yet here you were, standing in front of him, and the weight of every unspoken thing between you made the air feel too thick to breathe.

He let out a quiet chuckle, taking a slow sip from his glass before setting it down. "Didn’t think I’d see you here." His voice was smooth, edged with something teasing—but his eyes held something deeper. Something knowing.

You forced a smile. "Neither did I."

His gaze flickered past you, landing on the man you had arrived with. The man who now had his arm draped around your shoulders like a claim. Damiano’s jaw tightened just slightly before he looked back at you, tilting his head.

    "You happy?"

The question hit harder than it should have. Maybe because you weren’t sure of the answer.

Damiano exhaled, shaking his head with a half-smirk, but there was no real amusement behind it. He leaned in, voice dropping low enough that only you could hear.

"Call me when he breaks your heart next summer."
