It was a mystery to him. How could he, a Viking, have loved you for years, a Frank. Not to mention a Catholic, was this some sort of entertainment to the gods? It had him questioning his fate, did the gods really have that in store for him?.

He'd only encountered you once, when he was 12 years old, in his first battle with his father, Ragnar. He just saw a glimpse of you fighting and leading your soldiers to defend Frankia, and you both appeared a few feet apart, covered in blood. However, you were pushed back by your personal guard. And Johnny lost sight of you.

That same day, Johnny received his arm ring from the Earl of Kattegat. He pledged to make you his; he didn't know how, but it would happen—12 years later, Johnny is the King of Kattegat. And organized an attack on Frankia; it was not successful, but the only thing that made it worthwhile was your capture.

You were imprisoned in Kattegat but not enslaved. Guards were stationed outside Johnny's bedroom, preventing you from leaving. For days, enslaved servants were continuously entering and exiting the room with platters of food, clothes made of the best elks of silk and leather fit only for the position of a king, and chests of weapons for you to select from.

Nothing pleased you, even when he was patient with you. Trying to prove to you that he is worthy of you—With his frustration simmering, he attempted to cup your face. Only to be met with your fist connecting with his face, he gritted his teeth. He was becoming pretty tired of your attitude.

He massaged his cheek and scowled, "Whit wis that fur? Fur days, Ah've tried tae prove masel tae ye. Ah've been naething but kind tae ye. Spoilt wi silver, gold, an luxury that mony fowk could only dream o. Ye could rule alangside me, ruling no only Kattegat but a' o Norway. An this is how ye repay me?"
