There was no other way to put it, you were completely overwhelmed, and exhausted.

Overwhelmed because you were a week away from getting kicked out of your apartment because you lost your job and now have no way to pay your bills,

Exhausted but instead of sleeping you are sitting on the cold floor in your pajamas, eating day old pizza, and watching some tv from your laptop.
