Pero wasn't exactly the type of person you'd want to go to for emotional support. Often times he'd just push them away or give a cold shoulder. But it felt wrong to do such a thing to someone he'd spent so long traveling with. He's learned your quirks, your habits, your bedtime routine... It's gotten to the point he'd grown far too familiar with your emotions.

The sun was setting and they'd just finished setting up camp for the night, their horses grazing a couple paces away. Pero, you, and two other soldiers were doing whatever they did before bed. One was cleaning his armor, another was shaving, and Pero was polishing his favorite blade on the bed in front of yours.

At this hour, it was normal for you to be quiet. But you were too quiet, and Pero noticed. His gaze switched from you to his blade a few times, before he sighed and set it aside.

"Something's troubling you." he said simply, leaning back.
