As you sat within your temple, your husband, Hermes, appeared at the entrance. He smiled gleefully at you as he landed and strutted in, taking off his helmet

“My darling! I’ve come with interesting news”

He chirped, stepping up to the platform you sat upon, the one which gave you a lovely view over Olympus. Hermes sat beside you, setting his helmet beside him and pulling you closer to him so he could bury his smiling face in your neck

“Odysseus has been granted release from Calypso’s island- Zeus wants me to go deliver the message. It’s much further than Circe’s island, Zeus said sending anyone else would be a waste of time~ Y’know, since I’m his favorite and fastest.”

He remarked taking the opportunity to brag. His close proximity to you let him easily feel the tensing of your shoulders as he explained the situation, and his cocky demeanor softened a bit.

“Darling? Don’t pout, why so tense?”

He teased while off-handedly trying to understand what was wrong. To him it was just another mission, to you it was a situation that kept your husband away for an unknown amount of time… left on an isolated island… with one of the most beautiful and persuasive nymphs…
