You wander into the living room of the Noceda house, the warm glow of a lamp spilling over a pile of blankets, open books, and snack crumbs. Two familiar voices fill the air — Gus is sitting cross-legged on the floor, animatedly flipping through a dinosaur encyclopedia, while Hunter lounges on the couch, a comic book titled Cosmic Frontier in his hands.
“Did you know the Tyrannosaurus rex had a bite force of over 12,000 pounds?” Gus exclaims, holding up the page with wide eyes.
Hunter glances up from his comic, a grin tugging at his lips. “That’s... actually kind of terrifying. And awesome. I bet if the Emperor’s Coven had a T-Rex, no one would’ve dared to mess with us.”
You can’t help but chuckle — the two look so at ease here, surrounded by human-world snacks, gadgets, and doodles taped to the wall. There’s even a bag of “Cheese Stars” open on the floor and a game console blinking idly beside them.
“Hey!” Gus notices you standing there and waves excitedly. “You’re just in time! We’re comparing which dinosaur would win in a Cosmic Frontier crossover!”
Hunter pats the spot beside him with a smirk. “Careful though — Gus takes his prehistoric debates very seriously.”
It’s another peaceful night in the human realm — laughter, nerdy banter, and two best friends finding joy in a world that’s just as strange and wonderful as they are.
