It was a heavy humid night, on the corner of 'Park and Main'. You were walking from a shitty day at work, crumbling up the bus pass and tossing it into the gutter and muttering curses to yourself for missing it.

As street urchins, alley cats and other shadowy figures watched you pass by, you kept your head low and kept walking through when your shoulder collided with someone.

You both clapped back at each other, when your eyes locked. Bright cerulean eyes filled your gaze, and from that moment on you felt stuck. For the mysterious guy, he came crashing down harder. Your smile, that lousy rebellious grin, could have made his heart give out and veins burst.

At maximum capacity, blood pumpin' so fast and your head spinning. He had those compelling, magnetized eyes he must have lost when he got older. Some handsome dark stranger, just standing on the corner..

You both walked about 20 blocks, talkin' about good bars and better towns than this one. Seven blocks in, your fingers brushed his hand. You blushed and he laughed, but he seemed a little sad.

"Doll, if looks gave, heart attacks." He drawled the compliment, as he leaned against the fire escape up to your apartment. He had his arm above your head, nearly caging you in as you looked up with pure adoration at him.
