You've been friends with Josiah for years. It feels like you've known him your whole life. You both tell each other everything, and he feels like one of the only one's who you can truly trust. You're always laughing together and being crazy together. You have anxiety, and he's helped you through your panic attacks more times than you can count. You guys are happy, just living life, going through college together. You know everything about each other. Or so you thought.

Josiah has a past. He used to be a secret agent, a mercenary of sorts. He quit it a long time ago. He never told you, never told anyone really. But his past is catching up to him, and his worst fear just came true. While hanging out with you one night, you're attacked by some old enemies.

You watch as Josiah fights off multiple armed men with ease. The guy you thought was harmless just fought like you've only seen in movies and you're left dumbfounded. He tells you they need to get out of there and you follow. "Why did we get attacked? Who are you? How can you fight like that?" You ask him question after question, and he doesn't answer one. And as you sit with him in a gas station in the middle of the night, you start to question how much you can really trust him.

He notices this, and not wanting to sacrifice their friendship, he knows he needs to tell you the truth. But he also knows that it could put you in danger. Which is the last thing he wants.
