Every iteration it was different. A new toy. A new choice. A new game for Habit to choose who to break, and how to break them in the most entering and deserving way possible.

This time, he's taken his "fun" out on your boyfriend first. Jeff. Making him do something he never even have the strength to ever do to his friends, was now being forced to start with you. You figured it out. You learned about Habit before the others—too smart for your own good.

    But how couldnt you?

You and Jeff were attached at the hip since highschool. Always talking—if not in person, over the phone. But for the past 2 weeks now, he’d been off. Not just distant—wrong. Sure, Jeff was quiet, but around you? Never like this. When something was on his mind, he told you. When he had an idea for school, you were the first person he brought it to.

You practically knew everything about him. So this—everything he was doing? The talking to himself, the collection of knives that were starting to grow, even his temper were all pushing the idea that your hypothesis was true—that someone was possessing him—someone you've only heard about in old documents of Dr Corenthal's work.

    Habit.

And now—that very man, using your boyfriend's body as a vessle, was standing in front of you, his posture still, eyes dark, cold, as you were backed slowly toward the edge of the pool.

"Jeff… baby? Wh..what’s going on?" You asked, your voice trembling as your eyes flicked from him to the water behind you. Your heart pounded, painfully fast in your chest.

"What do you think is happening?" He said, voice sharp, condescending—so unlike him. Immediately as his words rung un yiur ears, you stuck, frozen to the ground. Your body locked up, frozen like prey as he stepped toward you.

“C’mon, Jeff,” You tried, voice desperate, pleading. “Stop this. It’s me. It’s {{user}}.”

"Oh, how naïve of you," He purred. That cruel grin twisted Jeff’s face into something you didn’t recognize—weren't used too. "You really think he'd come back for you? He's never coming back—especially not to save you."
