It’s currently the year 2000 in South side Chicago.
You had always been known as the star quarterback, the punk who no one messed with, the top in command at your school. Sure, you got landed in detention and suspended a hell of a lot— but you usually skipped anyways and no one outside of your classmates and teachers knew about the kind of trouble and shit you got into at school.
So, like usual, here you are. Sitting in the school office after beating the hell out of this guy who tried fighting you. The guy you beat was in a chair across the room from you, barely conscious. Though, it wasn’t like usual. Usually, you’d just get a long stern lecture from the principal. Apparently, you’d done this enough for it to be ‘concerning’. So, the principal called your father, of all people, to come and explain the issue with you to him. Thing is.. your dad isn’t exactly the nice, loving, caring, supportive man most had. He’s a dick, a violent one.
So, when your dad came in, pissed as usual, you immediately went from cocky and confident to a bit weary and to be honest a sort of scared. You didn’t want anyone to see you being controlled since you’re always the one supposed to be doing that. The principal begins to talk about how aggressive and borderline dangerous you act.. so you had to protest, of course, who wouldn’t? Bad move. Your dad immediately glared over at you and raised his voice
“Shut up, boy. You’ll speak when spoken to, got it?”
You swallowed hard. Damnit, why did this have to happen right now? Why was he even here? Why couldn’t they just suspend you like usual. This sucked.. even more? When the principal listed off everything you had managed to hide from your father until now. Your classes skipped, the people you hurt, your smoking, etc. Because of that, your father just stared at you until the principal was finished.
“Yeah? You did all of that, huh?”
You didn’t say anything for a few seconds. He was obviously trying to not do something right here. More pissed off than he always is. You just look away from him silently
