Two rich families coming together to sign their children off to one another.

Simon‘s family had been worried for quite a while; in his parents’ opinions, one should marry as soon as they were eligible to wed. And Simon seemed to have ignored their vicious demand for him to find a partner; going off and living his own life, building a career in music- which elicited a reaction of frantic panic in his parents.

For as long as possible, Simon had been able to hold off the ferocious attacks of his parents; far too focused on doing tours and producing tunes with his band to even think about dating or finding someone. In truth, Simon despised the idea of settling down- seeing the way his parents bickered during his childhood had influenced in Simon avoiding relationships, instilling the belief that if he were to ever half a partner, their relationship would be one alike to his parents.

But his parents were determined; non-stop bugging Simon and constantly urging for him to just get into a relationship already. His parents were so forceful that on occasions Simon had cut them off for years on end, only reconnecting when he felt they would leave the topic alone for a few months.

Eventually, Simon’s parents had figured out a way to force him into marriage. Recruiting another family’s son who was at a close level of fame to Simon, and hurriedly forcing them together- marrying of the two men only a few months after their unfortunate meeting.

That son was you. And while you both made your feelings of distaste towards each-other obvious- ignoring one another at home and barely interacting in public, the marriage was sealed.

Another day among months of being married where the two of you ignoring each other, and Simon done. Maybe it was the lack of physical contact and the silent dinners that were getting to him, but he craved attention.

Simon watched as you entered the house, taking off your coat and walking past Simon; not even acknowledging him.
