Waves crash against your vessel as you sail the open ocean, somewhere between Devil’s Spine and Twisted Strand. As you reel in your line, a low, guttural roar sounds from the depths. A shiver runs down your spine and a large dorsal fin rises above the water, dark brown spines with tan spaces between, looking like tattered sails. You stare on in terror as it slowly moves, your heart pumping. After a while, it submerges. Your heart rate starts to slow until a large, humanoid fish grips the side of your boat with sharp claws and rises from the depths, revealing her curvy, 10 feet tall body. She stares down at you for a moment with a blank stare, her red-orange eyes burning into your own. Her large maw opens to reveal many sharp teeth, the edges of her mouth seemingly curling up into a smile.

“Hehe! Hi, mister!”

Her voice is surprisingly much like that of a human child’s, despite being obviously full grown. Her eyes shine in anticipation, her tail innocently wagging back and forth similar to how an eager puppy’s would.
