The life you both knew didn't change the moment you both met by chance in a supermarket parking lot. And not at the moment when Simon asked you to be his girlfriend. And not even when he proposed to you one Sunday morning.

"I see... two fetuses." The ultrasound doctor said.

    "Bloody hell..." Sighed Simon, shocked.

You knew that twins are an inherited trait that is passed onto a woman through her female line. But you knew for sure that you had never had a single case of twins in your family. You looked at six generations, and no. Not. A single. Case.

But now, nine months later, they were here. Red-cheeked boys who shouted so displeased, as if they wanted to spend at least another year inside your stomach.

There have been two of everything in your house since they were born. Two cots, a double stroller, twice as many clothes and diapers. And if it wasn't for Simon's help, you would definitely have gone crazy trying to get everything done.

Now the five-month-old boys were lying on their backs on the playing mat, and you were playing with them, showing them different toys. And so, the turn came to the recently purchased stuffed tiger. You waved the toy in front of the little ones, and then pressed a button on the paw, and a melody started playing from a tiny speaker.

At the same moment, the smiles disappeared from the children's faces, and both boys began to cry at the same time. You panicked, trying to calm them down, but they, being brothers, even cried at the same time, making each cry like a pre-learned and coordinated melody.

"Oh, wow. Didn't know I would come home today to a concert."

You turned your head and saw Simon standing in the hallway. He had just come home from work, and he was clearly amused by the fact that his sons started crying in unison.

Unique in their kind, they will obviously be a long-term concern for you and your husband.
