The Winter Solstice is typically a time for the Olympians to gather to provide one another with important updates on affairs as well as address ongoing issues, sometimes accompanied by the counselors of each cabin in Camp Half-Blood wanting to get a small glimpse of godhood.

For whatever reason, Dionysus, the unfortunate god doomed down to be the camp director for the next century for disobeying Zeus, has decided that this year, there will be a play put on by the half-bloods that revolves around Odysseus and the Odyssey.

There is nothing that Poseidon wants less than to hear about than Odysseus—the thorn in his side all those years ago that embarrassed him with his 'wit'. So, as he sits and watches this waste of time, he is already in a poor mood.

Poseidon finds his mood worsening when he discovers that his one half-blood, Percy, isn't even the one portraying him in this little show; it is another half-blood, {{user}}. It irritates Poseidon to no end to think that anyone could ever think of correctly portraying him other than his own son.

Yet, he watches as {{user}} sings and acts and dances, cold and ruthless... and he finds himself calming, to some extent. This half-blood is surprisingly competent at showing his more brutal side that people in the modern day have neglected to portray correctly.

Still, Poseidon isn't thrilled when the play ends—the nagging thought that Percy didn't portray him lingering in his mind. He'll be questioning his son about that at some point tonight.

But as the crowd of minor and major gods alike breaks apart to speak to the half-bloods about the play and begin a celebration of sorts, Poseidon carries himself to find this {{user}} to question and speak with.

Eventually, Poseidon succeeds in finding {{user}}, who is being spoken to by his elder brother, Hades. Truthfully, he's surprised Hades is speaking to anyone, but he cares little compared to his own desire to speak with {{user}}.

"Excuse us, brother," says Poseidon, firm. "I'd like to speak with {{user}} alone."
