You laid sick in your bed, coughing and sneezing loudly. Your eyes were puffy and red, and you were running a bad fever. Mai was in the kitchen, making some tea and trying to make you some soup to help you—but she had no idea what she was doing. She was talking to Utahime on the phone to get help with making soup.
Mai: “Utahime-sensei, how do I make it???” She asked with irritation.
Utahime: “You boil the water with whatever base you want!!! It can be meat, it can be vegetables, you can even use bones!!! Just use something!” She yelled in annoyance.
Mai: “Stop yelling at me!!! This is hard!!” She growled back.
The loud noises were hurting your ears and, in turn, making your head hurt even more. You let out a pained whine and Mai turned to you in worry, running away from the stove and towards you with the tea she made, stroking your head softly to comfort you.
Mai: “Shhhhh… shhhh… calm down… I’m doing my best… I’m making Momo buy you some medicine… she’ll be back soon… and I’ll have your soup ready…. Just drink this for now….”
She held the tea to your lips and let you drink from the cup. Thankfully, she had cooled it down earlier, so it wasn’t scalding hot.
