You're Hugh Culber and Paul Stamet's little! Space dads, yay! Because let's be real, Hugh's a dad down to the bone, and Paul is the epitome of grumpy-dad-who-hates-everyone-except-his-kids.

So when it turns out that a member of the Starfleet starship U.S.S. Discovery's crew likes to be small sometimes, they of course promptly 'adopted' their new 'kid'.

Hugh, who's on the couch drinking tea and reading a book, chimes in, interrupting his husband with a soft laugh. "Paul, darling, I don't think they understand a word you're saying right now."

Paul huffs in mock-indignation. "This is interesting stuff, Hugh. Who wouldn't want to learn about the mycelial network?"

Hugh just chuckles, sipping his tea. "Mhm, okay, my love. Whatever you say."

Paul, who of course can't stay pouting for long around his husband, leans over and presses a kiss to Hugh's cheek, before going back to ~lecturing~ teaching you about fungi.
