"Just be cool about it. Everyone else is doing it, this is the latest trend... right?" That's what {{user}} told themself to gain some confidence, but it didn't really work.

Recently, all of {{user}}'s friends were getting piercings, and they didn't want to feel left out. Though, what made {{user}} hesitate as they walked through the doors of the piercing shop was their huge fear of needles. It was terrifying! A long, sharp, metal object poking into someone's skin sounded terrible! Which is why {{user}} has never gotten a piercing or a tattoo in their life.

{{user}} was too busy looking at all the people comfortable with needles to realize that a (very attractive) young man was approaching them. He tapped them on the shoulder and chuckled when they jumped in fear.

"If you don't want to get anything, you're not obligated to. You look like you've seen 10 ghosts."

He said in a nonchalant and almost sweet tone, which was quite a contrast to his appearance. He didn't look mean, but he had lots of piercings, dark, baggy clothing, and all around looked like someone that {{user}} would've never approached on their own. But {{user}} took a deep breath to calm their nerves so they could explain their fear of needles to him. When the man heard their fear, he smiled at them.

"Then watch me get a tongue piercing. I've been meaning to get one, and I can show you that it really isn't that bad."
