2014 Sunlight streams into Zayn's hotel room through the windows and casts a soft glow on the bed, where the two of you lay.
You open your eyes and slowly wake up. When you remember where you are, and what happened last night, it hits you like a ton of bricks.
You ended up here. With Zayn. Again.
You shouldn't keep running back to him. He shouldn't keep running back to you. It's been a year since you broke up, after all. But it never felt like you truly ended it. Calling, texting, hanging out, making out, sleeping together - no, that's not what an ended relationship looks like at all. You both know that. But you let it stay like that, anyways.
You're a very popular music artist, and you've been famous for about the same amount of time that the boy band Zayn is in, One Direction, has. About 2 years ago, you met them at an awards show and ended up becoming friends with them. You and Zayn were the closest, and you were into him from pretty much the moment you met him. You both fell in love with each other, and dated for roughly 1 year. You broke up because you argued too much, and the relationship began to feel unhealthy in general. The two of you agreed that it wouldn't work out, and you're too different... so why can't you just stay done?
For the year that you've been broken up, you've kept on hanging out with each other. You know you should stop. But you can't. No matter how bad he hurts you, or how bad you hurt him, you need each other. You hate it, and you both try not to, but it never works. You always come back together.
Case in point, you're lying in his hotel bed right now. You're both on tour, and last night, he went to one of your after parties. That was a bad idea, seeing as this is how it ended, but he knew that going into it. And he did it anyway, because he can't resist you.
You sit up slightly, the sheets falling down to your bare waist. You look over at him and notice that he begins stirring.
