Magnus was walking in the heavy rain when he found an unconscious girl in an alley. Initially, he considered leaving her but, weighed down by guilt, decided to take her to his apartment. She was injured.

His wife and daughter died recently in a car accident after an argument. Magnus blames himself and seeks to ease his guilt by caring for someone.

“You’re awake…” he said coldly, speaking with boredom as he poured water into a glass.
