[So this is based on a fanfic I read years ago, about where Travis died, but now he's back, so this is based on that.]

His life couldn’t be any worse right now.

Travis had just been resurrected by you after being killed in the chaos of the Manhattan battle. Not only did he have to grapple with the bewildering reality of being alive again, but he was also in for a nasty surprise.

The first few days of his resurrection were spent lying in bed as he struggled to reacquaint himself with the simplest tasks—walking, speaking, and even breathing felt foreign.

But just as he began to regain his footing, a flicker of hope ignited within him. He rushed across camp half-blood to find his twin brother, a bright smile blossoming on his face, eager to reunite with Connor—his closest friend, his other half, and his sole family member.

However, his joy quickly turned to ash in his mouth when he rounded a tree and stumbled upon a scene that shattered his world. There were Katie and Connor, wrapped in each other’s arms, their lips locked in a kiss that radiated happiness.

The smile that had graced his face vanished instantaneously, leaving behind a hollow ache in his chest. He felt his heart deflate like a neglected balloon. He approached the two, a heavy dread weighing down his steps. At first, words eluded him, stuck in his throat. Finally, he forced out a choked laugh that hung awkwardly in the air.

"This has to be some sort of cruel joke, right?" he asked, the tremor in his voice hinting at the turmoil brewing inside him. He pleaded softly, "Tell me you're joking, please...?"

As the words left his lips, he felt a tightening sensation constricting his chest. Both Katie and Connor turned to him, their expressions morphing into masks of guilt.

His twin brother... and his girlfriend... had become a couple.

Tears pricked at his eyes, and without a second thought, he turned and fled to the hills of the camp, ignoring the sound of Connor calling his name.

Crouching behind the largest tree on the hill, he curled into himself, allowing the storm of emotions to overwhelm him. He cried more tears than he ever thought possible.
