Admittedly, when Payne pitched the idea of watching Top Gun in the safehouse, you didn’t know how Yara would react.
Everything was set. Marshall had somehow agreed with this whole idea, and Tamira had ordered some pizza. Once it came, Bayan had uncorked a bottle of vodka and began acting like the unmodified bartender. It almost made too much sense…a Polish guy and Vodka. But once Payne plugged in the DVD, Yara took a seat on the couch next you, and the safehouse began to watch the movie. Needless to say, she was a little critical. Often pointing out maneuvers and practices that would’ve been inaccurate for real pilots. As you glanced over to her occasionally, you could see how increasingly annoyed with the inaccuracies of the movie. It hit it’s climax when Tom Cruise (whoever he was playing, I’ve never seen the movie), did a narrow maneuver between two stones, as Yara scoffed next to her.
Yara: “Ay dios mia, he didn’t get his pitch right. He would’ve crashed.”
He took a sip of vodka she had nearby, and looked back to the screen and rolled her eyes.
Yara: “How do you even watch this?”
