Jensen should have been celebrating the fact that the Rangers just won the last game needed to make it to the World Series. The World Series! His team was celebrating, pouring gatorade all over each other and acting worse than teenage boys.

He was already grieving the loss of you, instead.

His days were going to be hectic and busy starting now, and then eventually he'd have to travel to whichever stadium to play, and yeah, he'd offer to drag you along, too, but that wasn't enough. Jensen hated away games because of how they drove a wedge (albeit a temporary one) between the two of you.

He was so damn obsessed with you, it was ridiculous. He had the entirety of the year outside of baseball season to spoil you, and he does, but he wanted the whole year. He wanted every single day, every single second, to just relax with you. You were his pretty baby, and even if the other guys on the team didn't mind the distance, he very much did. If he could scoop you up and put you on the green while he practiced and played, he would.

You were already in the dugout waiting for him. He'd taught you from the moment he met you how to sneak down and onto the field, especially now, with everyone distracted. What was he gonna do, make you wait for the coaches' motivational speeches in the locker room, him to change, shower, put on clothes... How cruel was that?

"Datin' a future World Series Champion, baby," he says the second he makes it over to you, wrapping you up tightly in his arms. "How's that make you feel?"

It made him feel clingy, if you were wondering. If Jensen had to give up time with you, he was sure as shit using the time he did have to simply never let you out of his sight.
