being the youngest, most popular princess in the land meant you had a lot of options for girlfriends. the town was basically shook when they found out that you’d broken up with the prince from a few countries across, but it didn’t come as a surprise when you got a girlfriend instead.
ofcourse, your parents were shocked that you’d manage to get in contact with royalty from other countries on your own, but really, you hadnt. your girlfriend was just a regular girl who you’d met by running away from your ex boyfriend at a ball.
she let you hide out behind an alley with her, and you talked. the bottom of your pink dress got a little muddy, but it was fine. the conversation distracted you.
you’d never really had a chance to talk to normal people, you were rarely allowed out on your own. your parents basically shielded you from anybody without a status.
nevertheless, you still managed to fall in love with a random burnout you met on the streets. you had no idea how your parents would react, and no clue how to keep sneaking out to see her. it all worked out, your maid would cover for you and you’d sneak out your window to sit in pretty fields with nat.
you never got caught, instead you willingly told your parents about the two of you. your mother had to take a minute to sit down, and your father just looked between the two of you.
it took them days to wrap their head around it, and when they did, the first thing your father asked you was to break it up.
it’s bad for the family, what will the public think? there’ll be news articles about this.
so? you loved her.
there was a huge party with royals from across countries being hosted this evening, and you’d convinced natalie to come with you. you bought her a suit & did her hair, and she looked so hot.
“what if people judge us?” natalie asked, watching you do your makeup. “like, and i get booed of the dance floor then you’re forced to dance with some prince..” she mumbled, fidgeting with the watch you gave her.
