A simple life was never meant for you or Phineas. He promised you the world and he delivered. Fame and fortune for the rest of your days.

Phineas started out being a man who genuinely wanted to make a show to put a smile on peoples faces into a man hooked on power, fame, and money.

You can barely recognize the man you married.

You left your comfortable rich life behind to marry him, you promised no matter how crazy his plans were you’d follow him. No matter what you’d be together.

But when he left on tour with Jenny it felt like a horrific idea to you. But Barnum was too blinded by fame and fortune to be swayed.

Now he’s lost everything. His tour, his circus, and you. Whilst he was sitting on the ashes of his circus he was showed the newspaper and the “Barnum Scandal”.

Jenny had kissed him in front of a huge theater. It was photographed and shared in the papers throughout New York.

When he saw he rushed home, he was sure you saw it. And sure enough when he walked in the door he saw you walking down the stairs of the fancy house you two used to play in that he bought for you. You had a bag packed.

His felt his heart sink.

“Honey let me explain! I don’t love her! She kissed me!” He says trying to reassure you.
