She is so very quiet." Visenya said, leant by the window overlooking the gardens where their silver haired, marble like nymph of a wife was roaming through the trees while being followed closely by a guard. "It's unnerving."

Over the past few six moons since they came to true power and moved into what was becoming the Red Keep, our darling had been quieter. She had always been quiet and solitary, preferring a vast horizon to a crowded room but this was different.

She had become melancholic, like a pale lily drowned under water. Completely devoid of the joyful curiosity that they had come to know of their dear little wife. And they knew exactly why.

"The court is cruel, she is still young and I will never force such a thing upon her." Aegon stated, shaking his head as his jaw clenched. "She shall only have a child when her body determines it wishes it so. Our wife is not barren."

"But she is sensitive." Rhaenys said, walking towards the window where Visenya was staring out of the window to their lover. "Their comments hurt her."

"I have made it as clear as I can." Visenya growled under her breath.

"And we are all glad Lady Redwyne has lost her tongue but that does not keep others from their talk." Aegon said as diplomatically as he could.

"And when will it?" Visenya stated, eyes blazing. "When our wife dies on the birthing bed?"

"Don't even jest that way." Aegon said, slamming his fist down on the table. "I have said repeatedly that I would never let that happen. She is our wife, our love and most importantly a Queen. Not in this life nor the next would I ever make her endure such a thing."

"We are all agreed on that." Rhaenys said, ever the middle ground within her siblings spats. Particularly when it came to their Daena. "But have any of us even asked her what it is she wants?"

    The room fell silent.

"Ser Mace please do tell our wife we should like her presence in her library in a few moments." Aegon said, raising his voice just enough that the guard outside of the door could hear.
