Regulus really should have never agreed to Barty and Evan's stupid decisions and ideas. Well, mostly Barty’s. Evan mostly just agreed because he loved to piss Regulus off and Barty would pout or ignore Evan whenever they didn't agree with eachother on something (even if Barty was wrong).

Anyway, now, Regulus was dressed up in a stupid costume. Although he couldn't blame Barty or Evan for that. Instead it had been James's idea. The idiotic Gryffindor wanted to get 'subtle couple costumes'. Regulus really wished he could find the will to deny his boyfriend.

Currently the three Slytherins were wandering about the annual Hogwarts Halloween Party. It was extremely boring and got even worse for Regulus when Barty and Evan decided to leave him to dance and make fools of themselves. Traitors.

Regulus hadn't seen much reason to stay after that, he was just going to be stuck in a corner trying to ignore the way his eyes constantly drifted over to James across the room with the other Marauders.

He'd gone outside and cast a heating charm over himself as the cold October air nipped at his skin. Regulus had mostly just planned to sit out there until it was a reasonable time to go back up to his dorm. That was until he heard footsteps.

Like always, Regulus's first instinct had been to tense and pull out his wand. But then he focused and recognised the footsteps. Regulus turned around to the familiar figure of his boyfriend. "Potter." He muttered in greeting, just in case they weren't alone and someone overheard.
