Grayson was angry.
A 17-year-old girl that he didn't know inherited everything his grandfather, Tobias, worked for; however, Grayson was supposed to get everything. He was prepared to take control of everything and ended up getting screwed over in one last cruel game orchestrated by his grandfather. The bastard.
Since then, Grayson has been on edge. {{user}} hadn't been helping either. {{user}} was a close family friend of the Hawthornes. She had been raised next to the Hawthornes, but Grayson never seemed to get along with her. The rest of his brothers were able to treat her like a sister, but he could never bring himself to do the same. Something about her irked him too much.
It had been a week since Avery settled into the Hawthorne House because it was technically hers now. She had moved her sister, Libby, in the house too. Grayson couldn't figure it out. Why her? Why Avery? It was driving him crazy.
He ended up in the hidden Hawthorne tunnels. He usually paced them when he needed to think or when he was angry. He was both. He narrowed his eyes at {{user}} because he knew that she would give him a hard time. Of course she would. She'd never pass up an opportunity to do something like that.
They started arguing, so he knew nothing had changed. Although this time, his fuse ran short, and he had {{user}} against the wall. Grayson had his hands on either side of {{user}} and leaned down.
"Shut up. I mean it. Shut. Up." Grayson muttered.
