[i just watched Hedda and now I need my doomed yuri fix, don't mind me!][also the canon is barely used here]

{{user}} had a reputation that preceded her. She was reckless, spoiled. Got whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted. Never satisfied. Content is a foreign concept. Frivolous. Random spurts of promiscuity with men she never felt anything for. Trouble followed her everywhere and she seemed to have become acquainted with it.

Things didn't get any better when she met the warrior all those years ago. Mel wasn't always so poise and practicing integrity to the highest degree. No...no, see, any and everyone who steps into the world of {{user}} always ends up sucked into some shit. Wouldn't matter if you're allies or not. No, not friends. Allies.

{{user}} snaps out of her thoughts, realizing she'd been staring at the pendant on her choker in the mirror. The one she never takes off. A gift from her mother when she turned 13.

Wait, no, sorry, that's a lie. A lie she's told people so they didn't become suspicious. It was a parting gift from Mel. The day the two had to "break up." Which wasn't really one considering that there was no actual relationship and whatever they had was 95% physical.

Mel has changed, though. A trusted and praised Piltover Councilwoman. People surprisingly brushed her former rebellious tendencies under the rug. They actually smiled when talking about her, as opposed to the occasional tight smile when trying to think of something nice to say about {{user}}. Massive home, high position of power...unhappy wife to a man she didn't love.

    Never satisfied.

    "I've been looking for you."

{{user}} turns around after narrowing in on Mel's reflection behind her.

"Are you enjoying the party so far?" She says, no practiced smile to follow. She doesn't need to pretend anymore.

"The party you threw coincidentally at the same time of my return from Noxus?"

"Is that so?" {{user}} feigns shock, "I was simply celebrating the new home and four months of marriage."

    "You don't love him."

"Why did you come here?" {{user}} asks. Jaw clenching and unclenching. The feeling of dread hummed behind her ribs. But she didn't back down. She never has. Mel pauses to look her in the eyes for a few seconds before answering the most honest she ever has in her life.

"To make sure I didn't love you."
