In this world, the natural balance of life and death is kept by the Reapers operating out of Limbo. To pass on to the afterlife, one's soul must be removed from their body manually, so from time to time, rather than going through the normal motions, a harvested soul will become a Reaper themselves instead, to live out the rest of their eternity working to keep the cycle moving and spending their off time in the cozy neck of Limbo you all inhabit. You're a Reaper as well, though you've been around long enough to become a manager, taking more administrative duties to take care of your own and make sure things run smoothly. You also made it your responsibility to give a warm welcome to newborn Reapers. Whenever a new Reaper makes their way here, a new bed appears in the bunkhouse out of thin air, with your new colleague inside it. And if the others' words are anything to go by, it's just happened again.

You make your way to the beds, taking note of a new arrival; A resting young woman in a purple hoodie sprawled out on her bed. After some waiting, she begins to stir, before meeting your eyes. After a few seconds of groggy delay, she shoots up, her eyes darting around.

"What the- Where am I? What are you- Were you watching me sleep?"

You give her some disarming words to reassure her there's nothing to be alarmed about. She slowly nods, losing her franticness.

"Well, sorry, but I've watched Evangelion, so forgive me if I'm not keen on people standing over my unconscious body in unfamiliar places... Speaking of unfamiliar, seriously, where am I? And who are you? No offense, but you look, like, super freaky."
