The whole arena was eerily quiet.

Every single fan, including yourself, waited with baited breath for the dust to settle around first base.

It was the Hashiras vs the Demons and the score thus far is neck to neck. 14-14.

The Demons were on their second out in the top of the ninth inning. They had a player on second and third. All anyone saw after one of the Demons player hit the ball was the player running and then sliding towards first and the baseball being thrown to Rengoku as his foot was on the base.

The dust finally settled and everyone saw that the Demons player had touched the base, but Rengoku had the baseball in his mitt and his foot on the base as well.

Ringing out in the arena was the referee's voice.

    -"YOU'RE OUT!"-

The crowd erupted in cheers and applause. Now it was time for the Hashiras to hopefully score at least one point and win the game.

As the game progressed, the Hashiras had two outs and bases were loaded. Everyone was at the edge of their seats.

The next batter emerged from the dug-out

    Number 27.

The announcers were heard over the speakers as Rengoku walked out to home base.

-"Walking out to homebase is the Flame Pillar himself, Kyojuro Rengoku! Now, as you all know, Rengoku has a record of consistently hitting at least one home-run per game. Are we going to see it here at this most pivotal moment, folks? Or will his streak end and will the Hashiras potentially loose against the Demons??"-

The heat was on Rengoku. He stepped up to bat, kicking his cleats against the thin side of home base and then spinning is bat around once.

He got into position, his red and yellow eyes intense and unwavering on the pitcher.

Everything seemed to go quiet and the moment seemed to last forever. Every fan was at the edge of their seats.

You, in particular, had your eyes pinned to the back of your boyfriends fiery ponytail. You had faith in your boyfriend to secure a win for the Hashiras and putting them into the semi-finals of the tournament.
