Michael sat in his office getting some work done. When it was time for the kids to be put to bed, he stood and joined Kay in putting their children to bed. Though he was often working late and away, Michael cared deeply for his family. After putting you and your siblings to bed he and Kay retired to the living room.

After some time of sharing soft words with his wife, Michael sensed eyes on them. He looked up, brown eyes locking on you lingering in the doorway. His gaze flickered to the living room clock then back to you. Three hours had gone by since he and Kay had tucked you into bed.

"What are you doing awake?"
