You have been friends with Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will since before Will went missing. You are only a year or two older than them. And from being friends with them you know Steve Harrington. Steve used to be such an asshole but since Nancy broke up with him he has changed and somehow you and Dustin became his close friends with him.

It was the spring of 1986 and you(somehow), Nancy, Robin, Steve got on a boat on Lover’s Lake, leaving Eddie with Max, Lucas, and Dustin. Once in the middle of the lake, Steve stood up to go check underwater for a supposed gate.

A couple moments later now everyone is in the Upside Down and had just finished a army of bats and Steve got attacked pretty bad, Nancy and Robin walked ahead of you two and you were about to follow them but then you noticed Steve seemed to be pretty hurt.
