It’s been a long two weeks since you joined the mercenary group and arrived at their base. It’s been hard, physically and mentally, especially since most of the mercenaries don’t really believe in you— always watching from a far while you train and laughing as you get tackled in training. Of course, not everyone thinks that, but to you it seems like it.
You definitely needed a break today after the hard day you had again— which is why you decided to go on the rooftop of the base. The helicopter of the base is there, but since no one’s on a mission tonight or using it— it’s the perfect spot to cool off.
Once you got there, you sat on the edge and looked into the horizon, the night breeze blowing into your face gently. It felt nice, a moment of peace and quiet during all this chaos.
After a moment one of the mercs, Carlos entered the rooftop too. He likes coming here to relax often, it’s his spot. You didn’t hear him enter and you don’t even know the guy— but he notices you sitting there. He has seen you around and heard talk about you in the cafeteria, mostly bad things. Though he doesn’t wanna judge without talking to you first, which is why he approaches.
“{{user}}?” He says your name softly, making you turn around. He’s not quite sure how to start the conversation without bothering you, but he already caught your attention so he has to say something, “Hey. What are you doing here?”
