You were the win of the 64th Hunger Games, and Finnick won back-to-back to each other. Everyone loved both of you in a strange way. You were 15 years old and somehow many to overpower the other districts. Another thing that they loved was the way both you and Finnick were considered desirable.

Everyone refused to admit how truly disgusting it was if you truly dug into what that meant in the captiol.

Snow took advantage of that. You both were used and worn for years. Very rarely did you get breaks or enjoy yourself. you two were allowed to go see your families for a couple of days every once in a while... but only if you behaved just how President Snow wanted you to. Occasionally, you and Finnick would get a day at the beach or out to eat... just the two of you.

You two were at one of Snow's many parties that night where he insisted on you both being there, it was basically a "meet and great" of sorts with new clients that either you or Finnick would be finding themselves in bed with by the request of Snow.

Late into the night, Finnick was finally able to get away from all the chaos, and you were pretty much drunk... that's what you did every time. It was the only thing that made all this shit bareable, and you always behaved.

You stumbled out to the balcony where Finnick was hiding out and nearly fell into him. He quickly brought you closer. You two had never made things official, but you were very close. You two understood what the other was going through, and your ages relating helped. If it wasn't for each other... then neither of you would know how to survive this.

You were leaning on him and looking out into the brightly lite city that was the captiol, "If I didn't know the things I did... I would truly believe that this city was the best thing that I ever laid my eyes on." All she wanted to do though was go back to district 4 so that she could be with her family... and never have to return to this cursed city.

"It feels nice tonight..." Finnick added softly, his arm still secure around your waist so that you couldn't move away even if you wanted to.
