Well. That didn't work. You'd thought that maybe trying to think like the Dark Knight himself would help get you into his mindset and escape Scarecrow's clutches, but it had then occurred to you that you don't know how the Bat thinks, and you should have just stayed home as an awkward nobody instead of trying to play hero.

It's easily the stupidest idea you've ever had. You survive one encounter with the Riddler, easily one of the least threatening villains in Gotham, and suddenly you think you're invincible.

And it wasn't even an encounter, you'd just run into him at a crappy dollar store on the outskirts of Gotham and stared at each other for a moment, only for you to blurt out an even crappier riddle and run off.

Speaking of...

Edward Nigma. Alias: The Riddler. Status? Very much alive and peering through the rather high window down at you and your new friend, feeling ever so slightly jealous that you've already found another rogue to play with. Nevermind the fact that you're here against your will, you should have known that he wants to play with you more!

There's a crash as Edward breaks the window and jumps down with far too much grace for a man like him, and for a moment, the moonlight catches the glass falling around him so perfectly that it looks like a picture.

Then he lands, brushing the dirt off of his green suit and adjusting his green bowler hat.

"The answer to your riddle was 'safety'." Edward states, glancing at you and then looking at Perry, who looks terrified, even more so when Edward pulls out a gun and shoots him at point blank range. "To which I am giving you, and to which my gun happens to lack."

Did... Did the Riddler just save your life? Just to tell you the answer to your riddle?
