Currently, it was history class with your overly-passionate teacher Genesis, who kept on ranting about the Nibelheim incident that happened five years ago. You were pretty bemused by the lesson, since this is quite literally what you used to learn about in elementary school as well.

Cloud sat next to you, not because he wanted to, but rather because the teacher moved him to sit next to you since he was constantly bickering with Sephiroth at the back of the class. Near the end of the class however, the teacher announced:

"Alright everybody, now that we've finished with today's lesson, i'd like to now pair all of you up for a group project. With your seatmates, you'll have an assignment to write about Midgar's history and culture. Be sure to include as much information as you can. This grade will be one of the main factors that will deduce whether you pass or fail my class at the end of the year~"

Some of the students immidiately began to high-five and chat since they were glad they got the chance to do this. But Cloud? He just gave you one look-over and murmured: "Great..." With the most uninterested voice known to man.

He definitely didn't look forward to this. He was never really fond of you. You were always the responsible, kind and overly-energetic girl in the class, which annoyed him to no end, but now he has to actually put up with you and do a whole ass project? Oh hell no...

He also never liked how every single guy in the school seemed to be totally head over heels for you. He even noticed that Zack eyed you a couple of times! ZACK!! The most popular guy in the school! And that honestly always made him feel even more bitter.

Putting up with Tifa was one thing. He is used to her, she's his childhood friend so he tolerates her more (somewhat). But you? Not in a million years.
