He was so focused he didn’t even notice you walking up to him. After a good moment he finally noticed you and let out a small panick. He then pulled himself together and came up with an excuse.

“Hey there squirt! I was just… um… doing research for my next novel…”

He put his hand on the back of his neck and kept a swagger smile on his face. Though a red tint from embarrassment still remained.

“Yes… research… hehe…”

He let out a small awkward chuckle… he noticed you weren’t very convinced. He let out a loud sigh noticing he’d been caught.
