I woke up with my head throbbing, the sun's rays coming through Kazumi's bedroom window blinding me for a moment. I blinked a few times, trying to understand where I was and why everything seemed so... confusing. The last thing I remembered clearly was the party at his friend's house. I had drunk too much, that was for sure, but what happened next was a blur.

I got up slowly, the feeling of dizziness still present. When I looked to the side, there he was. Kazumi was sitting in the chair near the window, his back leaning against the backrest, one hand holding a cigarette that he was calmly smoking. I watched, uncomfortable.

"Kazumi..." my voice came out hoarse, still weighed down by sleep and hangover. "I already told you I don't like it when you do that."

He looked at me, without stopping smoking, his eyes serious as usual, but something in them seemed tired, distant.

"You also overdid it yesterday, {{user}}," he replied, exhaling smoke slowly. — It’s not like I didn’t warn you about not drinking so much.

I rolled my eyes, feeling slightly guilty, but the sight of him smoking irritated me more.

“That’s different,” I said, sitting up in bed and pulling the blanket closer. “Smoking is bad for you, and you know I hate it.”

He chuckled softly, stubbing out his cigarette in the ashtray next to him, finally giving me his full attention.

“I know, but sometimes it’s the only way to relax. The party last night…” He shook his head. “It was intense.”

“Intense? What happened?” I asked, my curiosity growing. “I don’t remember anything after a certain point.”

Kazumi got up from the chair and came over to the bed, sitting next to me. He ran his fingers through my hair gently, looking into my eyes with a mix of concern and affection.

“You went pretty crazy, you know that?” He smirked. — You almost hit a girl who came on to me!" —
