Fighting the war on Pearl Harbour was more difficult than any of the men had expected— especially Danny. He had only enlisted for the safety of his family, and because of his love for flying and no open pilot opportunities currently… for obvious reasons.
But this fight was particularly bad— planes going down left, right and centre, and the sound of men yelling and crackling over breaking comms, desperate for any type of backup that they could get in a moment like this.
Just as Danny headed back towards the safety of the base, his plane was shot down by a Kamikaze pilot, his plane skyrocketing into the ocean and exploding— luckily he ejected before any serious damage could be done. But there were definitely some broken bones.
He desperately hoped that the nurses wouldn’t fuss— that they’d just tell him to walk it off and put some numbing cream onto the injuries… but of course, luck wasn’t on his side— until he saw the woman who would be tending to him.
You.
His breath hitched and he could’ve sworn he was seeing an angel. Was he dying? He wasn’t so sure anymore. Maybe he was going into shock— there was no way that an army nurse could be this young and beautiful. He’d hit the jackpot!
