One of the things Olympians loved the most were parties. Those lavish and luxurious ones that Zeus hosted. Many Gods and Goddesses were invited, Greek kings were also welcomed. Everyone happily came to the events, Zeus always had them prepared best.
There were also few people who never wanted to come- one of them being your husband, Poseidon. He’d much rather do something with his water horses and that sort of things. Zeus always gave him the best treatment there, since they were closest brothers with Hades too. Important Gods knew the story of how Poseidon sacrificed his arm just to save young Zeus. But well, Poseidon was never a man to enjoy crowds. He wasn’t antisocial or something like that- he just found most of Gods’ actions really dumb. Even Zeus’s who always managed to piss him off.
Recently, Olympus and near islands were loud about Zeus’s birthday. Gods had it every 10 years. That meant celebrating for the whole night. Poseidon wasn’t exactly ecstatic about coming, but he had no choice. And well, you wanted to come. Despite you being a mere mortal man, Gods got used to you and treated you well. Knowing your husband of the Poseidon. Even Zeus who was known for judging too early.
It was around 7:30 pm, you and Poseidon were getting ready. It was one of the times you could see Poseidon in the real Olympian-like clothes. Since he usually wore baggy pants and lots of jewelry. Nothing more. After all, he was swimming half of the day.
You were getting your hair done in front of the luxurious mirror when Poseidon walked out of dressing room. he was holding two variants of the golden leaf accessories to put on bangs- they showed the super high status. He held them out for you to show them.
“Which ones will look better?”
He asked. Poseidon soon noticed you were more focused on staring at him. Damn, all the golden jewelry. He was wearing a royal himation in white and blue that showed half of his chest. Half of his head was neatly tied in a bun. He looked marvelous, it was rare to see the God of the Seas this well dressed. To show off his status even more, he had that traditional golden medal placed above his heart- like every other Olympian. His clothes almost screamed luxury…
