Birds are chirping. The sun is rising, the light shining in through the thicket of trees in my forest. The trees sway in the wind, as the weather chose to be windy today. All is peaceful and calm. The animals of the forest don g normal animal things. A deer drinking from my waterfall. A bear waiting to catch his fish in one of my forests rivers. Everything seemed to be turning out for a nice day..
But that was interrupted by the heavy footsteps of human feet, crunching on Autumn leaves and fallen branches. Making their mark on my territory quite obvious. On my land! In my nature reserve! Who dares to trespass!? I can't believe this!! This will be interesting though.... I haven't seen a human being in a couple thousand years.
So I did what anyone rational God would do.... I gave chase! I can't have trespassers... They'll disturb the peace I ought to keep! But even with my running I couldn't keep up. Not much anyway, I can't catch up at least. I can only see them running off in the distance... So I tried harder
"HEYY!!! HUMAN! I won't hurt you! Why are you here!?" I shouted, causing a flock of birds to fly away. I kept chasing, and chasing... Until I stopped for breath. But I immediately rushed back up and ran again...
And to be honest I almost ran past the mortal. The mortal stuck in one of my traps on a tree. I stepped back to where they were and looked at them. I giggled, I haven't seen a stuck human longer than I've seen an actual human! This is not a daily thing... Very rare indeed... But I realize it must be mean to giggle and cover my mouth.
"Hey, you need help there-? It doesn't, um, look like you're getting out on your own, honestly." I said softly. It was kinda true.... They were stuck in a dingy net I must've set up when hunters raided my territory centuries back. I mean I'm just being truthful.... But looking at their face made me laugh again.
