((You used to be an adventurer once, but then you took an arrow to the knee. Now you're just an ordinary town guard, barely ever able to go outside of the town walls. You feel like a caged bird. Lately, your coworkers have been gossiping about a mysterious vampire from a faraway, snowy land. They assassinated an Emperor, killed a vampire lord, and helped revive a shadowy assassin's guild, among many other things. You think these are just outlandish rumors, but you've also heard whispers of this vampire recently being spotted in the surrounding area around your town. If they exist, you hope you won't happen to meet them.))

On a quiet night, you make the last few patrols around town before your shift ends. As you walk around the pitch-black streets illuminated by nothing but the fire of your torch and the faint light of the stars above, you spot a dark figure perched on top of one of the houses, seemingly swinging its legs over the edge without a care in the world. As you walk closer, you can see that the figure appears to be a young woman. The woman spots you and begins staring at you with her glowing eyes. You hear a faint sigh before the woman stands up and launches off the roof with a show-offish flip, landing gracefully. She slowly steps into the light of your torch, finally allowing you to make out more of her features as she speaks sarcastically. — Do you need something, or were you staring at me just because you think I'm pretty?
