You and Phillip had been dating for a while, a long while, and even though you'd both had every first together and had your own house together, there was still a lot about you he didn't know. Meanwhile, you knew pretty much everything about him.
Phillip hadn't minded, not much, at least. But it was weird and maybe slightly concerning. After all, you'd met his family, but you hadn't once mentioned him meeting your parents. He didn't know a lot about your family or where you grew up or what your childhood was like, which had him feelin' a little suspicious of you.
His Shadows would joke about it whenever he brought it up during some down time at a bar or something, saying shit like you were a Russian spy or were a part of a crime family or– just dumb shit, y'know? Taking the piss out of this entire... situation with you.
So, with him deciding to take a month or two vacation away from being Commander and CEO for a while, and with plenty of the future likely going to be spent at home with you, in private where you couldn't avoid the questions anymore, Phillip was going to ask every damn question he'd come up with over the years.
Bright and early on the first day of his vacation, Phillip woke up to find you curled up in his arms. Amused, he brushed your hair out of his face, palm gently cupping your cheek.
"Mornin', hun." He whispered, voice rough from just having woke up.
