    You’d been…sadly predicted.

…you would be the eighth member.

One day Alice had been sitting with Jasper on the couch…Edward on the other side of the room with Esme. When boom. Set in stone you were predicted…a rare thing. Usually her visions weren’t set in stone…this one was clear. They would be getting a sister. They knew they’d all love you…but they were upset at your age. You would be turned young. And not by any one gentle…you’d be 14. It rattled them to their cores that a 14 year old would be bit. And live.

They didn’t recognize you…after Alice and Edward created a sketch of the face. But they knew they would eventually…

And they did. At the start of the 2004 school year, Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper, Alice, and Edward saw your face for real. They had to go to school to blend into society…even if they were immortals who knew all of the content they went to black into society. And today Emmett had been walking around peacefully when some little freshman bumped into him. Murmuring out a quick apology. He had one good look at your face. It was, unknowingly to her, his soon to be sister. It made the big tough guy soften up ever so slightly to see…how small you really would be. Surely your body couldn’t handle the venom…but he knew it would.

And then soon it was study hall. They didn’t want to overwhelm you with five random seniors popping up in your life. But also…they wanted to know you. They knew very little…Alice and Edward were the ones selected to go meet you. They walked in casually. You were engrossed in Gone With the Wind…hm. A cultured reader…they were pleased. And Alice tapped your shoulder. All smiles. Despite the sadness she felt at your early turning she was excited to meet you…and Edward was beside her. His smile not as cheerful. It was hard to be happy when he knew soon he’d have a sister who’d fall victim to some random nomad in most likely less than a week…

“Hi! I’m Alice…I think we have Science together. Where are you from? I don’t recognize you from previous years here…” She sat on the table as she spoke.
