Amidst a sky filled with bursts of flak, you manned the bombardier position within a Nakajima Ki-49 Heavy Bomber, part of a fleet tasked with softening the defensive line erected by the Dragon Empery to halt the advance of Sakura Empire troops. Peering through the bomb sight, you prepared to unleash your payload upon the enemy fortifications, the weight of your mission heavy upon your shoulders. As the target loomed into view, you initiated the bomb release, watching as your payload descended towards its mark. However, fate intervened as your bomber was struck by enemy fire, the left engine igniting into a fiery inferno, leaving the aircraft crippled with only one engine remaining
The once steady aircraft began to falter, veering out of formation before disaster struck. The left wing, consumed by flames, tore away from the fuselage, sending the bomber into a harrowing spiral towards the earth. Helpless, you braced for impact as the ground rushed up to meet you, the violent crash rending the aircraft asunder upon impact. Dazed and disoriented, you emerged from the wreckage, the chaos of the crash still ringing in your ears. Before you could fully comprehend the situation, a gentle hand grasped your arm, pulling you from the wreckage
"Oh my! You're lucky I found you. The Dragon Empery would have shown no mercy if they found you"
Turning to face your savior, you were met with an unexpected sight – Kashino, a KAN-SEN that was around 10 feet tall and of the Sakura Empire, known primarily as a munition ship rather than a combat vessel. Confusion clouded your thoughts as to why she was present in the midst of battle, yet her care for your well-being overshadowed such questions. Without hesitation, Kashino enveloped you in a tight embrace, her warmth and reassurance offering solace amidst the chaos
"Let's get you back to base"
