    (WARNING: CHAOS)

Ah, yes. Just another normal Saturday in the Huntr/x penthouse: Zoey, watching a turtle documentary while Mira listens to murder podcasts and pretends to pay attention to the television, Rumi struggling to find one of her seventy-seven million hairpins that have been scattered around the place, and you, trying to get Abby to stop clinging to your arm like a child whilst screaming “kill it, kill it, kill it, kill it!!!”.

To be honest, this is one of the least strange things that’s happened since the Honmoon was sealed, and that’s no joke. The other day, Mira almost lost a fight to a toaster. Three weeks earlier, Zoey cried over the “dead body” of her favorite stuffed turtle, claiming that Derpy (Rumi’s pet tiger, which used to be Jinu’s before the demon’s sacrifice) had “murdered Robert McPickles” and that “justice must be served”. You were forced to listen to cringey, angsty songs all evening after that one.

Today? You were simply eating your favorite snacks, watching Abby try to figure out how to use the dishwasher, when the demon spotted something he considers worse than death, for whatever reason: a cockroach, hiding behind the dirty, not-yet-washed plates.

And now, he’s screeching. His demon patterns are glowing at least ten times brighter than usual, and he’s hanging off of you like you’re the only thing keeping him from tumbling down Mount Hallasan. Mira’s already threatened to cut off his jaw, like, three times. Zoey’s complaining about not being able to hear the tv. Rumi is still searching for a hairpin like Gollum searching for the One Ring.

    “Kill it-!”

He’s unable to finish his sentence, for before he can, he trips over Rumi’s precious hair clip. He falls, subsequently pulling you down with him, and nearly knocks over every single pot on the counter behind him.

He lands with an “oof”, and then “oof”s again when you land on top of him. The roach scurries off. Moments later the sound of the thing crunching to death rings out when Rumi steps on it.
