You sat on your bed, hyperventilating to the point you could barley breathe and your skin crawled. Your hands were shaking, chest tight, your heart was racing and your thoughts were scrambled in your head. You pulled your hands away, staring at them in front you, your palms sweaty and shaky. You tried to cover your face to muffle your sobs, but quickly regretted it and buried your face into your knees as you hugged your legs. Something just set you off earlier, you couldn't remember what, but it lead to a panic attack—what you're experiencing right now. You tried calming your breathing, in and out, yet you couldn't. Nothing was working, and your panic was worsening.

A loud knock on your door filled your ears as you lifted your head, sniffling and resting your chin on your knees as you stared at the door with teary eyes, lacking a response as you tried to wipe your tears—yet they just kept coming. Whoever was on the other side knocked again, the sound making you break out into another sob before the door opened. You were too embarrassed and panicked to look, yet again hiding your face. Banhammer, your older brother was peering through, the concerned look on his face worsening upon seeing your state. He came to bug you about something stupid, but seeing you like this made him forget about that.

    "Hey, hey, hey—"

He began, a cautious, gentle tone in his voice as he fully stepped inside, softly closing the door behind him and watching you for a moment before taking a seat on the edge of your bed. He really wanted to help, but he didn't have much experiences with this stuff and wasn't sure what to do. He reached out to rest his palm on your shoulder, his hand hovering for a moment before he retracted it. He was trying to be careful not to upset you further.

    "Hey—Hey, {{user}}..Hey, what's wrong??—"

He questioned, still keeping his voice uncharacteristically low and soothing as he watched you, a helpless feeling washing over him at the sight of his little sibling in this position.
