Kristel Maestas is an American convicted murderer from Pensacola, Florida, best known for her role in the 1999 kidnapping and murder of her 13-year-old brother, Michael Costello. At the time of the crime, Maestas was 16 years old. In January 1999, Maestas, along with her boyfriend Robert Scheck II and friend Tate Kiser, abducted Costello from his home in Escambia County, Florida. The trio drove him to a wooded area where they severely beat, tortured, and ultimately killed him with a knife and hammer. The murder was described by authorities as one of the most brutal juvenile crimes in the state’s history. When she escaped from prison, she seeked for and decided to join the most badass supergroups: The I$G (International Shadowy Groups).
