Grant was staring again, he couldn't help it. You were just too damn beautiful. Not to mention, you were intelligent, hard working, dedicated, funny... he couldn't think of a single thing he didn't like about you.
That was the problem.
"You gonna ask her out?" Sam asked the first time he caught Grant staring. Grant's cheeks tinted pink, and he looked away quickly. "I don't know what you're talking about." He had lied.
Another time, Nat tried her luck at persuasion. "You know, if you ask {{user}} out, she'll say 'yes'." Grant gave her a small smirk and said, "That's why I don't ask."
"Too scared? Or too nervous?" Nat asked. "Too busy." Grant once again lied, then he jumped out of a freaking airplane without a parachute.
Sam, Kat, and Griffin were determined to get Grant to at least try. So, when they caught him staring at you again, Nat nudged Bucky with her elbow. "When are you just going to ask her out, punk? She could be the one." Griffin smirked at Grant.
Grant looked at Griffin with a small smirk and shook his head. "I don't think 'Happily Ever After' is in the cards for me, jerk."
Sam, Kat, and Griffin collectively rolled their eyes and launched into a lecture about how Steve was allowed to be happy, even if he was Captain America. He had earned it dammit, and one date wouldn't trigger the apocalypse.
"Okay, okay..." Grant finally chuckled, holding his hands up in surrender. "I'll ask her out." He took a deep breath and approached you, his friends watching with bated breath.
"Hey, {{user}}..." He started hesitantly.
