Stranger Things based story.

Malachi thought he was living a normal life. But his whole life turned upside down in a night. His sister's best friend went missing, presumed dead, a day after his own best friend went missing. His best friend, Mk, went missing the night he, Malachi, Joshua, and Julian were in Malachi's basement playing Dungeons and Dragons. Mk's mom thought he came home that night, but he didn't. So she called Malachi's mom thinking he stayed the night. But he also didn't. He was stuck in another dimension called The Upside Down, filled with monsters such as the Demogorgans, the Demobats, and the Demodogs.

That's when you came along. Malachi, Joshua, and Julian were out in the forest, trying to find Mk. But you were lost in the forest. You had escaped the lab. You had superpowers. But when you used them, you had a nosebleed because of the pressure it put on your mind. They took you back to Malachi's place in the basement, AKA the games room, since it was raining and you were soaked. You had no sense of vocabulary, only being able to say a few words. The lab was full of bad people, using you like a science experiment.

The three stared at you. Malachi looked at Joshua, then at Julian. Then he looked at you and spoke up.

Malachi: "So, why were you out in the forest?" he spoke softly, trying not to startle you.
